How to get to Positano

The nearest airport is Naples, about 1.5 hours by car or private transfer; ferries also run in season from Naples, Sorrento, Amalfi and Salerno, and arriving by sea is spectacular. The town itself is steep and mostly stepped, so we arrange private transfers and boat pick-ups so your partner never handles the logistics. Know before you kneel: Positano is vertical — hundreds of stairs between the road and the beach, so plan shoes, timing and (for grandparents watching on video call) the route; a private boat runs about €420–500+ for the ride alone; private terraces usually require a hotel booking or venue agreement, which we arrange; and sea conditions can move a boat plan — every plan of ours carries a built-in plan B.
