When is the best time for a vineyard proposal?

The most magical time is early autumn (September–October) — grape-harvest season, when the vines turn gold and the light is honeyed. Late spring (May–June) is also beautiful, with green rows and wildflowers. In both, the hour before sunset is when the vineyard glows. Winter offers cosy cellar and villa options.

After the “yes”, you celebrate with the estate’s own wine — and can add a long lunch or dinner, a villa stay or a sunrise balloon flight over the vines.

Want a signature surprise? We love the engraved-bottle cellar moment — during the tour, your partner is asked to find the one bottle that “doesn’t belong”, and it turns out to be engraved with your names and the date, your cue to kneel. Which is the best region for a vineyard proposal?
